- Cleaning of pedestrian tracks and clearing up of mini scrap yards.
There are few forest paths that lead from Tršić ethno village to Tronoša monastery, one of which is “Vuk’s path to school”. The whole length of these paths is about 40 km. The volunteers will be collecting garbage in groups and storing it temporarily in certain locations that can be approached by tractors that will transport trash to the dump. They will be also cleaning mini scrap yards in rural areas that are not included in the mandatory trash collecting zone. We’ve marked two locations we plan to clean this time. The technical and logistic support for this section of the camp will be provided by public company “Naš dom” Loznica.
- Marking of pedestrian tracks
The springtime marking of pedestrian tracks, fixing of the existing signs and placing of the new ones.
- Setting up of resting-places
During Eco-camp Tršić 2008, we managed to clear up a big dumping ground in Tronoša village, at the very beginning of “Vuk’s path”. Eleven trucks loaded with all kinds of trash were driven away from this location. Public company “Srbijašume” gave us permission to convert this location into a resting-place, so we could, thus, avoid forming of a new scrap yard. This company also gave us wood to make benches and tables. Timber needs to be taken and transported to the place where benches and tables will be made and, once they are completed, they need to be set in the resting-place.
- Sightseeing tour of our region
The participants in the international volunteer camp will visit natural and cultural-historical monuments in our region within one-day excursion.
- Promotion of the project’s results
Following the end of all the activities of the international volunteer camp, the promotion of the project’s results will be organized in cultural center “Vukov Dom Kulture” in Loznica where the winners of the contest and their works will be presented and Eco-play will be performed. The results of this year’s camp will also be available on the web presentation.
