The aim of Eco-camp Tršić 2009 is to increase the interest of the citizens, especially young ones, in environmental activities and to animate them to take part in such activities, as well as to change the position of the local population towards natural resources and to raise their awareness of significance of environment protection.
This publication is a product of "Eco-camp Tršić 2009" project, which is supported by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), the city of Loznica and the Permanent Conference of Cities and Municipalities (SKGO). The goals of the project
Eco-camp Tršić 2009 will organize activities in order to animate local population, especially the young and the pupils from the local primary school, to take part in environmental activities. After that, twenty volunteers from all over the world will be cleaning tourist recreation tracks and clearing up few mini scrap yards in the villages of Tršić and Tronoša for 14 days. They will be marking pedestrian forest paths and setting up resting-places in the locations of the scrap yards previously cleaned up within the scope of Eco-camp. The members of the camp will receive basic education in recycling and environment protection. Eco-camp will be preceded by the promotion of the planned activities and followed by the promotion of results of the project. The media will keep monitoring all the activities of local and international volunteers during the Camp. Target groups are local population, the young people from Loznica and the region, and tourists.
Sustainability
By getting growing support from local institutions and public companies, the members of our organizations draw the attention of local population to the significance of participation in environment protection, keep them up to date with the problems of rural local community and allow cooperation with the local community at other levels as well.
We had an excellent cooperation with public companies when we organized Eco-camp Trsic 2008. and they promise to support us and take part in following campaigns and actions.
